Registration
If I want to work for Rutledge, what do I need to do?
Call your local Healthcare office, where one of our helpful advisors will be happy to talk to you about our registration process and arrange an Interview for you . A full application pack will be sent to you along with directions and a map of where you need to go. Alternatively, you can walk into your local branch and talk with a consultant face to face.
How long will my Interview take?
Interviews can take up to 1 hour; this is because we want to talk about your previous experiences and your preferences for the future. We will also go through any training you have completed and any training requirements for the future.
Do I need to bring anything to my interview?
Yes, we will need you to bring 2 forms of personal ID (Passport, UK driving licence, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate) along with a proof of address and evidence of your NMC Registration. We will need to see your NI card or a document containing this number. £30 for your Access NI Check will also be required. Failure to bring these items will result in a delay starting work.
Once I have attended my Interview how long will it be until I am offered shifts?
This depends on how long it takes to make you compliant by RQIA standards. Once all of your paperwork is complete we will start the process. Your paperwork is sent to our Head Office where we must obtain an Access NI Check for you. We will then need to obtain 2 professional references and arrange any required training that is outstanding (the branch will arrange training at interview.) As soon as you are compliant to work, your local branch will contact you for your availability for work. We aim to complete this process in 4 weeks, although this is subject to Access NI clearance and references.
I am a qualified nurse but my RCN pin number has expired, can I still work for Rutledge Healthcare?
All of our Qualified Nurses must have a pin number that is in date, we would also require that this be renewed after expiry. If you choose not to renew then we suggest you speak to your local Healthcare Consultant about alternative work that we could offer you.
Do I have to pay a fee to join Rutledge Healthcare?
No, joining Rutledge Healthcare is FREE However, you will need to pay for your Access NI Check as we would need this clearance before you can work.
At what stage am I expected to pay for the Access NI check?
We ask that you bring payment to your Interview so that if you are successful we can start processing your paperwork straight away.
I have convictions; will this stop me from working?
If your Access NI check were likely to highlight any convictions or cautions, we would ask that you declare this information at Interview. We would then ask you to complete a short statement of the account so that we can use this on receipt of your Access NI. A decision will then be made as to whether we can offer you work.
How much will I get paid?
You will find our rates of pay very competitive. Pay will depend on experience and type of work. You will be able to discuss pay rates during your branch interview.
Will I need to wear a uniform?
Rutledge Healthcare requires you to purchase a uniform to wear on all shifts attended. Your local branch can provide more details for you.
I am looking for a Permanent job; Can Rutledge Healthcare help me?
Absolutely, Rutledge Healthcare can help you with both temporary and permanent work. We pride ourselves on getting the right job for you. We can let you know about current opportunities as well as sourcing your desired job. You can get more information by calling a consultant in your local branch.
I don't have any UK work experience, what should I do?
We require our applicants to have at least 6 months work experience in the UK, this is because we like our members to be familiar with UK work ethic, and we also have to obtain professional references from your previous employers.
